PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a head gimbal assembly capable of making respective connection at low cost between a near-field optical element in a slider and a light source out of the slider, and between a magnetic pole and a reproduction element in the slider and an electric wiring out of the slider. SOLUTION: A positioning section 401 for wrapping a tip part of an optical fiber 206 is arranged between a flexure 204 and the slider 2, and the electric wiring 502 is disposed at the side surface of the positioning section 401 to make electrical connection between the magnetic pole or the reproduction element provided at the slider 2 and a flexible wiring 13 on the flexure 204.
