PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform neutral control by a proper road surface gradient of not causing a retreat of a vehicle, in the vehicle for performing the neutral control and hill hold control. SOLUTION: In the device for performing the neutral control and the hill hold control, an ECU determines that a road surface gradient G detected by a G sensor is smaller than an N control permitting gradient (YES in S10), and corrects the N control permitting gradient to the small side (the side of becoming difficult to perform the neutral control) (S40), when a driver performs starting operation for starting the hill hold control (YES in S30), though the neutral control is performed (S30).
