PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell capable of stably maintaining output for a long period. SOLUTION: The fuel cell includes a plurality of anodes, a plurality of cathodes paired with the plurality of anodes, a membrane-electrode assembly made of an electrolyte membrane sandwiched by the plurality of anodes and the plurality of cathodes, a collector sandwiching the membrane-electrode assembly, a fuel supply mechanism arranged at the anodes side of the membrane-electrode assembly and supplying fuel to the plurality of anodes, and a moisture retention layer arranged at the cathodes side of the membrane-electrode assembly.
