PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively provide an extensible image forming system in which a paper ejection optional heater, having different paper passing width is installed and which performs control, according to the usage state. SOLUTION: A device provided with a heater 118, dedicated to paper having small paper width in the paper ejection optional device 117 is provided as one optional device of the image forming system. An image forming apparatus 101 changes target temperature in temperature control and paper feed timing, depending on the presence or absence of the paper ejection optional device with a heater 117 and width of paper.
