PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the strength and the durability of a filtering tank while reducing the manufacturing cost thereof. SOLUTION: The filtering tank is a cylindrical tank which is connected to a pool 2 and is filled with a filter medium 4 for filtering water in the pool by circulating the water. The filtering tank includes a metal tank 10 formed of a metal plate, an inner surface coating layer 11 fixed to an inner surface of the metal tank 10 in a layered state, and an outer surface coating layer 12 fixed to an outer surface of the metal tank 10 in a layered state. The inner surface coating layer 11 is an FRP layer in which mat-shaped reinforcing fibers 5 are embedded in an unsaturated polyester resin. The outer surface coating layer 12 is an FRP layer in which strip-shaped reinforcing fibers 6 with the fibers being braided in a strip are wound around the surface of the cylindrical metal tank 10 in the tangential direction, and the reinforcing fibers are embedded in an unsaturated polyester resin.
