PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an end cap connected to a wiper blade in a permanent and strong way. SOLUTION: A windshield wiper device includes an elastic oblong carrier element; and the oblong wiper blade 2 made of a flexible material. The wiper blade 2 includes a wiping element that can be disposed adjacent to the windshield as a wiping object. The wiper blade 2 includes a central fluting, and a vertical strip member of the carrier element is disposed in the central fluting. Connection components 6 are disposed at both ends of the wiper blade 2. In the windshield wiper device including a connection member 7 for a rocking arm, in order to define a space whose one end is opened, at both ends of the wiper blade 2, the wiper blade 2 extends beyond the vertical strip member at both ends thereof. The connection component 6 is held by the wiper blade 2 so as to prevent dust and prevent water by firmly closing the central fluting at both ends of the wiper blade 2. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
