Disclosed are organic electroluminescent compounds and organic electroluminescent devices employing said compounds. The organic electroluminescent compounds of the invention are substituted triazine compounds defined by chemical formula (1 ), The compounds, when used in an electron transport layer of an organic electroluminescent device, reduce power consumption and operation voltage of said device.
