<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable an efficient job promotion in the case of a network being intercepted and reconnected, and to reduce the waiting time for a user's output. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes a means for receiving a printing job from an external device, a means for spooling the received printing job, a development means for developing the spooled printing job into printable data, a means for detecting the network interception in the network, and a control means for making the development of the printing job stopped when the network interception is detected about the printing job under being spooled and developed, and for making the consecutive printing job which is not in the idle state to be the object of development. The means for spooling makes the printing job spooling resumed when the communication of the printing job in the idle state is recovered.
