When data for the stereoscopic display is input, a light emission period is limited to a period synchronized with a period when the shutter of shutter glasses is opened, so that the light emission not used for stereoscopic recognition is suppressed to reduce power consumption, while maintaining brightness or interlace driving is performed to make a light emission line into half, or the interlace driving is set and a light emitting line is made half to reduce the power consumption.
