PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat pump clothes dryer, restraining lowering of cooling capability and lowering of dehumidification capability to attain high drying efficiency. SOLUTION: This clothes dryer includes: a drying chamber storing materials to be dried; a refrigerating cycle formed by connecting a pipeline in which a refrigerant is circulated in the order of a compressor, a radiator, pressure reducing means and a heat sink; and an air circulating passage for guiding the air in the drying chamber from the heat sink to the radiator and then again guiding the same to the drying chamber by blowing means. A two-phase region of low pressure of the refrigerant in the heat sink is provided in the lower part of the heat sink, and a two-phase region of low pressure and an overheat region of low pressure in the heat sink are provided in the upper part of the heat sink.
