PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production apparatus of polyester, the apparatus having no structural brittleness and producing polyester having average viscosity of not less than 1,000 Pa s. SOLUTION: The apparatus for continuously producing polyester from dicarboxylic acid or its derivative and glycol includes: a first reactor for producing an oligomer by reacting a liquid to be processed containing the source materials; a second reactor for producing a prepolymer by polycondensation of the oligomer; and a third reactor for producing a polymer by further polycondensation of the prepolymer. The third reactor is equipped with a stirring device including: a framework which includes concentric circle assemblies composed of a plurality of hollow concentric circles and ribs connecting the circles in radial directions, and supports connecting the concentric circle assemblies in a direction along the rotation axis; and stirring blades composed of plates, punched plates, meshes or wires disposed on faces 501a to 501d defined by the ribs and supports, faces defined by the outermost circumference of the concentric circles and the supports, and/or faces defined by the ribs and the outermost circumference of the concentric circles.
