PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus locally connected to an information processing apparatus which can limit the function so as not to utilize the functions inhibited in the information processing apparatus. SOLUTION: Configuration information of a PC 1002 locally connected via a USB cable 1004 is received from the PC 1002, the setting information of an image processing apparatus 1001 is changed based on the configuration information, and the functions usable in the image processing apparatus 1001 are limited.
