PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress an increase in communication band and an increase in recording capacity in transferring an image file when the image file is shared between a plurality of image pickup devices. SOLUTION: There is provided an image pickup device for specifying sharers of image pickup data in accordance with a sharer specifying parameter set in advance, selecting only the minimum file format required by the sharers and transmitting the selected format.
