The sensor system (1) has a rain sensor (5) for determining reflection characteristics of a light source (8) i.e. LED, and a solar altitude sensor (6) for determining solar radiation. The rain sensor has a transmitting lens (51) and a receiving lens (50). The solar altitude sensor is provided with a solar altitude lens (60). The solar altitude lens is integrally formed as a lens unit (10) with the transmitting lens of the rain sensor in a single piece. Two transmitting lens elements (151, 251) of the rain sensor surround the solar altitude lens.
