<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus for generating energy from a composition comprising urea and water. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus 10 includes a container such as a tank 11 for providing the composition. The composition is delivered from the tank 11 to a container such as a reactor 12 for reacting the urea with water to form ammonia. The apparatus may also include a container such as a buffer tank 13 for providing ammonia which is connected to the reactor. The ammonia produced from the reaction of urea with water is delivered from the reactor 12 to a container such as a chamber 14 for oxidizing ammonia. The apparatus includes a means 60 for delivering gaseous substances including ammonia, hydrogen, and nitrogen oxides as well as a means for delivering solutions such as the composition containing urea and water.
