<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrogen supply device used for a fuel cell. <P>SOLUTION: The hydrogen supply device includes: a super water-absorbent material containing water, alcohol, or combinations thereof; and a solid hydrogen fuel being directly brought into contact with the super water-absorbent material to generate hydrogen. The super water-absorbent material is a polymer used alone or is a combination of the polymer and a cotton material. The alcohol comprises methanol, ethanol, or combinations thereof.
