<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suction control valve control device in which, if a suction control valve (SCV) poorly slides due to a foreign matter caught therein or the like, the SCV can be recovered from the poor sliding behavior. <P>SOLUTION: The suction control valve control device includes a control means 17 that controls a discharge rate of a supply pump 3 by opening the SCV 4 at a preset degree such that a pressure in a common rail 5 measured by a pressure sensor 6 takes a target value. The control means 17 includes: a poor sliding determination part 18 that determines whether or not the SCV 4 poorly slides, based on an output from the pressure sensor 6; and a foreign matter releasing control part 19 that conducts a foreign matter release operation in which the opening degree of the SCV 4 is increased/decreased by prescribed degrees from the preset degree at a constant cycle for a prescribed time period, if the poor sliding determination part 18 determines the poor sliding, and thereby releases the foreign matter which has caused the poor sliding. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
