<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a communication device for a vehicle capable of controlling driving timing of electric load of an ignition device, etc. with high accuracy. <P>SOLUTION: An ECU 10 transmits a discrimination signal for discriminating an ignition plug A to an ignition unit 21 via an ignition bus 15 (S3). When ignition time starts (S4: Yes), an ignition timing signal is transmitted (S5). A reception device 21a of the ignition unit 21 decides that discrimination information shown in the received discrimination signal coincides with discrimination information assigned to the reception device 21a itself (S12: Yes).
