<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for controlling the shape, by which the degradation of precision of shape control can be suppressed advantageously even when manipulated variable of a hydraulic device for controlling VC rolls and roll benders or the like which are used for the shape control in a rolling mill becomes an upper limit or a lower limit. <P>SOLUTION: At the point of time when the manipulated variable of the hydraulic device for controlling work roll benders 7 and the VC rolls 8 reaches the upper limit or the lower limit, the flow rate of a coolant supplied to work rolls 4a, 4b from coolant devices 6a, 6b is decreased/increased by a fixed quantity at a time interval which is at least not less than the response time of the coolant device within a predetermined range and the decrease or the increase of the flow rate of the coolant is continued until the state of the upper/lower limit of the manipulated variable of the hydraulic device is eliminated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
