PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile terminal capable of, when an electric outage breaks out, making a user of the mobile terminal cognize the outbreak of the electric outage and a position of the mobile terminal through the mobile terminal. SOLUTION: A mobile telephone 1 being one embodiment of the mobile terminal is provided with a rechargeable battery 15, which is charged by mounting to a charging device 2 for charging the rechargeable battery 15. The mobile telephone 1 is further provided with: a detector for detecting a state of mounting to the charging device 2; an electric outage detecting circuit 14 for determining whether or not an outage occurs in an electric power supply from the charging device 2 while a mounted state is detected by the detector; and a notifier for notifying an outage of the electric power supply when the electric outage detecting circuit 14 decides that an outage of the electric power supply from the charging device 2 has occurred.
