PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a translucent screen, capable of obtaining a sufficient contrast and luminance, while preventing the occurrence of a hot spot. SOLUTION: The translucent screen is configured to have a black layer 2 containing black beads with average particle sizes of exceeding 6 to 12μm and binder resins on the forward scattering film 1 having a haze value (JIS K7136:2000) of≥65%. Preferably, the forward scattering film 1 is configured such that the surface of an opposite side of the black layer 2 becomes smooth substantially. The translucent screen 3 employing such a configuration obtains a sufficient contrast, while preventing the occurrence of the hot spot, by a synergistic effect of the forward scattering film 1 with the black layer 2, thereby achieving enough luminance furthermore.
