PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suction head for a vacuum cleaner which is capable of being attached even if the inner diameter of a front end pipe to attach the suction head is different; and a vacuum cleaner. SOLUTION: The suction head 1 includes an approximately angular-cylindrical suction head body 11 with a connection port 3 at one end and a suction port 2 at the other end; and a connection portion 4 integrally molded of resin to enclose the connection port 3 side of the suction head body 11 and formed in such a shape that part of the circumference of the cylindrical shape is torn in the axial direction. The inner diameter of the connection portion 4 is larger than the contour of the suction head body 11. As the connection portion 4 is deformed with elasticity, the suction head 1 can be attached to the front end pipe 16 for cleaning even if the diameter of the front end pipe 16 is unmatched.
