PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water paint composition which does not use a high-priced white base electroconductive pigment, but simply incorporates an ordinary white pigment to provide a plastic article such as an automobile bumper with an electroconductive film that is high in bright color and shielding performance, and does not lower water resistance to have sufficient electroconductivity. SOLUTION: The water paint composition comprises (A) a water film-forming resin, (B) a white pigment, (C) an ionic liquid, and (D) at least one selected from the compounds represented by a certain specific formula (1) or (2).
