PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper feeder capable of sucking and carrying paper one by one, by floating the diversified paper, without using an air blowing fan of large output. SOLUTION: This paper feeder has a control part for carrying the paper sucked to a carrier belt, by operating a driving motor 311M by controlling a power source part based on a suction detecting information signal and a rotation detecting signal, by sucking the paper P stored in a paper storage part 200 to the carrier belt 301, by operating floating air blowing fans 212F and 221F1, a suction fan 351F and a separating air blowing fan 221F2.
