PURPOSE: A complex lathe and a workpiece processing method are provided to reduce translation distance and movement time, since a tool shaft moves vertically during the replacement of the tool. CONSTITUTION: A complex lathe controls transfer position in the direction of three axes which meet at a right angle. The complex lathe comprises a tool axis(5), one or more turret edged tool bodies(41), a tool magazine, and a toolchanger. The tool axis is installed on the circumference of the shaft parallel to a plane. One or more turret edged tool bodies are placed on the rear part of an axial line of a spindle. The magazine and the toolchanger are placed on the upper part of two main shafts(2,3). |
