Provided is a dialogue control system that asks a user questions decided by use of an ontology, which systematically represents domain knowledge indicating concepts and inter-concept relationships, and carries on a dialogue based on responses received from the user. The system stores at least one dimension-separated ontology and a base ontology. When conditions are set using concepts from a user response, one or more dimension-separated ontologies that fit said conditions are extracted, and a multidimensional ontology is generated by overwriting the base ontology with the contents of each extracted dimension-separated ontology, in ascending priority order according to dimension priorities. The multidimensional ontology is used to control a dialogue.
