<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a multi-layer optical data storing medium including a high density data layer, and a storing medium formed by the method. <P>SOLUTION: A method of manufacturing an optical data storing medium includes: providing a first self-standing workpiece having a first data layer including a plurality of data pits on at least one of the front and rear surfaces of the first workpiece; forming a first reflection layer adjacent to the first data layer; providing a second self-standing workpiece having a second data layer including a plurality of data pits on at least one of the front and rear surfaces of the second workpiece; forming a second reflection layer adjacent to the second data layer; providing a polymer layer on the first workpiece; forming a third data layer including a plurality of data pits in the polymer layer by pressing a mold against the polymer layer; separating the mold from the polymer layer; forming a third reflection layer adjacent to the third data layer; and attaching the first workpiece to the second workpiece. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
