IMPLANTABLE PARTICLE FOR TISSUE BULKING AND TREATMENT OF GASTROESOPHAGEAL REFLUX DISEASE, URINARY INCONTINENCE, AND SKIN WRINKLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for treatment of urinary incontinence, gastroesophageal reflux disease and a method for amelioration of skin wrinkles.

SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a method of administration of a therapeutic benefit amount of tissue bulking of biocompatible hydrophilic cationic microparticles including positive charge and a cell-adhesive enhancer on surfaces of the particles to a lower esophageal sphincter, a diaphragm or a site of the skin wrinkles. The microspheres are pretreated with a self-derived cell, administered therewith, or coated thereby. The microspheres or cell-coated microspheres are washed with serum and whole blood prior to administration. The self-derived cell is a mucosa cell, a muscle cell, an adipose cell or a combination thereof.
