<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a syringe, having high sealing ability between a gasket and the inner wall of a barrel, and excellent sliding performance of the gasket. <P>SOLUTION: This syringe includes a resin-made barrel 12 filled with a solution and adapted to discharge a medical liquid 16 from a nozzle 22 at the tip side. The syringe includes: a resin-made plunger rod 32 having a shaft part 30, the tip of which is inserted in an opening end 14 of the barrel 12 and which is inserted and removed by applying force to a pressing part 34 at the rear end thereof; and the gasket 18 formed cylindrical, the one base of which is provided with a fitting recessed part 46 to which a fitting projection part 40 at the tip of the shaft part 30 of the plunger rod 32 is fitted, and the side of which is provided with a sliding surface 20 sliding water-tightly in close contact with the inside surface of the barrel 12. The gasket 18 includes a hard layer 68 formed of thermoplastic resin and having a fitting recessed part 46, and a soft layer 66 on which an elastic body material is integrally formed to cover the surface of the outer wall surface of the hard layer 68.
