PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation system which improves operability of scrolling. SOLUTION: The navigation system includes a memory 17 which stores data, a display part 18 which displays a map, an operating part 16 which inputs an instruction, a history accumulating part 43 which makes the memory accumulate the data showing the map moving on the screen of the display part in response to the instruction on scrolling input from the operating part, as history data, according to prescribed conditions of memory accumulation, and a snapshot display part 24 which forms a snapshot portion on the screen of the display part when the instruction on scrolling is input from the operating part, and makes a map produced on the basis of the history data read from the memory be displayed in the formed snapshot portion according to prescribed snapshot display renewal conditions.
