PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the amusement by improving the relations between a probability varying function and a time reducing function. SOLUTION: When a jackpot combination of probability symbols are lead out in respective special symbol display areas 50a-50c of an LCD 32a, a time reduction period is provided accordingly. The period continues till special symbols vary 120 times, when time reducing motions are performed, and the period is terminated in the 120th variation. Meanwhile, as the time reduction period is started, a provability increasing period is also provided, and the period continues till special symbols vary 30 times, when a jackpot lottery is set at a high probability. After that, the provability increasing period is stopped for 30 times of variation, when the jackpot lottery is set at a low probability. Then, the jackpot probability is set at a high probability again for 30 times of variation, and the probability increasing period is stopped again for 30 times of variation to set the jackpot lottery at a low probability. At the same time as the time reducing period is terminated, the probability increasing period is set for further 50 times of variation and the jackpot lottery is set at a high probability.
