PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for applying absorbent gelling material (AGM) granules on a carrier layer used for an absorbent article, for distributing the AGM granules deposited on the carrier layer by indirect printing with a high degree of accuracy. SOLUTION: The method for indirectly applying the absorbent gelling material (AGM) granules on the carrier layer used for the absorbent article including the carrier layer 24, especially for diapers includes a process of connecting inlet parts to an AGM feeding system, a process of providing an opening for forming a pattern with appropriate shapes and sizes on the circumferential wall of a screen printing roll, a process of separating the AGM granules from the screen printing roll, and a process of depositing the AGM granules on the carrier layer without bringing the printing roll into contact with the carrier layer.
