<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain short-circuiting of a case, with an output terminal part fitted to a collecting plate a fuel battery stack is provided with, even if an external force that exceeds one allowed by the case is added to the same, to deform it, in a stack used in a state housed in the case. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel battery stack is provided with a laminate, made by laminating a plurality of unit cells; a collecting plate arranged at either end pat of the laminated body in the laminating direction of the plurality of unit cells; and a pair of end plates of nearly the same outer shape as that of the laminate, as seen from the laminating direction and so arranged to pinch the laminate and the collecting plates with an intercalation of an insulating plate between the collecting plates. Each collecting plate is provided with an output terminal part for outputting power generated by the laminate.
