<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piezoelectric drive device that achieves efficient drive, a method of piezoelectric drive, and an electronic apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: A piezoelectric actuator, which includes a piezoelectric element that has a resonance frequency of longitudinal oscillation and anti-resonant oscillation as the frequency of a drive signal, is controlled as follows. First, at the start of drive, the drive is controlled in an initial drive control mode, and then, the mode is switched into a stationary drive control mode until the rotor of a driven element is driven for a specified quantity, so as to control the drive. In the stationary drive control mode, a drive signal whose frequency is controlled based on the oscillation state of the rotor is applied to a piezoelectric element, and besides, when finishing the drive in the stationary drive control mode, the frequency of the drive signal at that time is stored as the drive frequency f0 in the next drive. In the initial drive control mode, first, a drive signal of fixed frequency fr1 lower than drive frequency f0 is applied to the piezoelectric element, and then, at a preset timing, a fixed drive signal is applied to the drive frequency f0. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
