PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a papermaking wire stain-preventing agent for preventing the adhesion of the stain to the papermaking wire in the wire part of a papermaking machine; and a method for preventing the papermaking wire from staining by using the same. SOLUTION: This papermaking wire 1 stain-preventing agent contains a polyether ester polycondensation material obtained by poly-condensing a monomer components containing (A) a polyoxyalkylene glycol, (B) a dihydroxy compound and (C) an aromatic dicarboxylic acid or its derivative. The method for preventing the papermaking wire from staining includes the application of the papermaking wire stain-preventing agent on the surface of the papermaking wire.
