PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a molded article sufficiently usable as various kinds of machine parts, including an inner ring, an outer ring and a rolling element of a rolling bearing, by further maintaining high strength over a long period, by improving heat resistance and a mechanical characteristic of the molded article with a polyvinyl alcohol superior in biodegradable performance as a base resin. SOLUTION: This machine part made of a biodegradable resin is formed by heat treating a resin composition including an imide-based cross-linking agent of 2-5 mass part to 100 mass part of the base resin at 120-170°C with polyvinyl alcohol as the base resin. In the rolling bearing, at least one of the inner ring, the outer ring, the rolling element, a cage and a seal member is the machine part made of the biodegradable resin. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
