The applicator (1) has an oblong applicator-tube (2), where a gripping section (5) is provided at a proximal end (3) of the applicator tube. An oblong slider (6) is inserted into the applicator tube. A bend (7) is provided at a distal end (4) of the applicator tube. The applicator tube exhibits the form of a circular arc with a central angle which is in the range of 45- 90 degree. The radius of curvature of the distal bend is in the range of 2-5 mm. The length of the tube is in the range of 10-20 cm. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a surgical clip wire and applicator assembly comprising a superelastic alloy-made wire (2) a method for attaching a clip seam.
