The method for manufacturing plate-shaped bodies (33) has: a step in which a plurality of plates (41, 42) are stacked and plate-shaped bodies (33U, 33R) are formed, said plate-shaped bodies each having a plurality of channels (51, 52), through which a cooling medium flows, side by side between the plurality of plates (41, 42); and a step in which a plurality of plate-shaped bodies (33U, 33R) are lined up in the direction that the channels (51, 52) are lined up in, said plate-shaped bodies (33U, 33R) are placed up against each other, and the contact area (63) is welded. The channels (52) adjacent to the contact area (63) extend along the contact area (63) and are longer, in the direction in which the channels (51, 52) are lined up in, than the other channels (51).
