<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To read medical image data with unmatched patient information without correcting the patient information. <P>SOLUTION: A patient archiving and communication system (PACS) obtains a digital imaging and communication in medicine (DICOM) image from a modality. The PACS determines the matching between the patient information included in supplementary information included in the DICOM image and the patient information included in the supplementary information of the pre-managed DICOM image data. If the result of determination is "matched", the PACS updates a patient information master table T1, etc. If the result of determination is "unmatched", the PACS updates a patient information unmatched table T2, etc. Then, the PACS manages the otained DICOM image data together with the pre-managed DICOM image data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
