<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means capable of decreasing pressing force of a developing blade (regulating member), when an image forming unit (developing unit) is stored, using a simple constitution. <P>SOLUTION: The developing unit including a developer carrier and a regulating member, configured to press a surface of the developer carrier is provided with a holding member that holds the regulating member, and changes the pressing force of the regulating member to first pressing force and second pressing force weaker than the first pressing force, and is also provided with a first restricting member and a second restricting member that abut against the holding member and restrict the pressing force of the regulating member. When a part of the holding member abuts against the first restricting member, the first pressing force is generated and when a part of the holding member abuts against the second restricting member, the second pressing force is generated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
