<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the precision of image retrieval without increasing a time to be spent on image retrieval. <P>SOLUTION: An image server 10 acquires the plurality of featured values of retrieval image data, and acquires significance corresponding to the plurality of acquired featured values from a storage device 13, and retrieves a plurality of clusters having attributes similar or matched with the retrieval image featured values from among a plurality of clusters by using the acquired significance and the plurality of featured values and the attributes held by the clusters. When one cluster is selected from among the retrieved plurality of clusters, the image server 10 increases the significance corresponding to at least a portion of the plurality of acquired retrieval image featured values based on the attributes associated with one cluster, and retrieves one or more images similar or matched with the retrieval image belonging to the selected cluster by using the changed significance and the acquired plurality of retrieval image featured values. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
