PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus that can image a subject at a suitable angle with a simple apparatus configuration, and an imaging method. SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus includes a housing 106, an imaging unit 120 which images the subject, an image display unit 130 which can display the image, an attitude detection unit 140 which detects the attitude of the housing, and an image correction unit 150 which corrects the original image taken-in by the imaging unit 120 on the basis of the attitude detected by the attitude detection unit 140.
