PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for measuring a liquid surface temperature, capable of grasping erroneous detection of a liquid level temperature with a simple structure even in the case of a liquid whose water level changes. SOLUTION: The apparatus for measuring includes: a temperature measurement part 10 which is stored to vertically move with a displacement of a sea water level Sa of sea water S inside a cylindrical support 4 immersed in the sea water S to measure a temperature of the sea water S; a detection weight 15 which is retained on a temperature measurement part 10 side by buoyant force under a state where the temperature measurement part 10 is in contact with the sea water surface Sa and which is dropped by its dead weight when the temperature measurement part 10 is distant from the sea water surface Sa; and error detection means 20 which operates with dropping of the detection weight 15 and outputs a temperature error detection signal.
