PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To mechanize replacement of a cutter; to select a part to be positioned on a cutting position in a cutter mounted on a holder; to miniaturize; and to simplify a structure. SOLUTION: This cutting device 1 includes: a support 2 for supporting an embedding block B; the cutter 4 whose one end is a blade edge 3, the holder 6 having a mounting surface 5 on which the cutter is mounted, on which the cutter is mounted in the state where the edge blade is projected to the outside of the mounting surface and extended along a fixed direction in parallel with the mounting surface; a moving means 7 for cutting the embedding block by the blade edge of a part positioned on the cutting place in the cutter mounted on the holder; a sending means 8 for sending out the cutter toward the holder side; a slide means 9 for sliding the cutter sent out from the sending means along a fixed direction on the mounting surface; and a discarding part 10 for discarding the cutter slid by the slide means.
