PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power transmission system that ensures stable power transmission. SOLUTION: A power transmission device 91 transmits power to a power-receiving device 92 employing a magnetic field resonance type power transmission technique. In this case, control is performed for changing the resonance frequency of a power-transmission side resonance circuit 101 of the power transmission device 91, and the resonance frequency of a power-receiving side resonance circuit 121 of the power-receiving device 92 so that the receiving power of the power receiving device 92 becomes a maximum. More specifically, control is performed for changing these resonance frequencies, by changing application voltages of a varicap diode 112 of the power-transmission side resonance circuit 101 and a varicap diode 132 of the power-receiving side resonance circuit 121.
