Provided is a technique that allows accurate understanding of propagation status even when shadowing is occurring. A wireless communication device is provided with: a transmission means that wirelessly transmits a test signal a prescribed number of times, at an interval shorter than a data signal transmission interval; and a measurement means that measures the reception statuses of a plurality of acknowledgement signals returned in response to the respective test signals transmitted by the transmission means.
