<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a format of video for 3D display suitable for 3D display of a caption and of a menu button. <P>SOLUTION: A disk 451 records caption data to be used for 2D display of a caption and menu data to be used for 2D display of a menu button. The disk 451 also records maximum offset information corresponding to offset information, wherein a position in a perpendicular depth direction is the closest to a user side, on a display surface of a 3D image displayed by an image for a left eye and an image for a right eye corresponding to caption data and the menu data among all of pieces of offset information described in the disk 451.
