PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the performance of (scale out) query execution by dividing or duplicating a database while executing queries from a plurality of clients and without stopping the database in an environment in which much data is generated with time in a write-once fashion on a distributed network. SOLUTION: A version number used for generation management of data in databases and redirection rules for database division are stored beforehand. When data is inserted, updated or deleted into, in or from a source database during query execution, the current version number is added to the data. In database division, after the version number is updated (incremented) to an incremental value before the database division, data in the source database whose added version number is smaller than the latest version number is copied into destination databases by the redirection rules, and at the same time, queries are redirected for execution to the source and destination databases by the redirection rules.
