PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pharmaceutical composition having an effect of inhibiting viral replication through APOBEC3G by suppressing the decomposition of APOBEC3G by Vif. SOLUTION: What is provided is a pharmaceutical composition containing at least one member selected from the group consisting of the following (a) and (b): (a) is a nucleic acid containing a base sequence which codes for a polypeptide composed of an amino acid sequence identical with that of Hsp70 and (b) is a nucleic acid containing a base sequence which codes for a polypeptide composed of an amino acid sequence formed when one or several amino acids are deleted, inserted, substituted, or added in the amino acid sequence of (a) and having the activity of inhibiting the decomposition of APOBEC3G by Vif.
