PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sanitary washing device for sufficiently minimizing a change of temperature on a toilet seat surface with respect to the set temperature of the same toilet seat even when batteries are not replaced in a configuration driven by a battery for detecting room temperature. SOLUTION: A first room temperature detector 602 is provided separately from a toilet seat body 200 to detect ambient temperature with a built-in battery 601 as a power source. A first room temperature detection device 600 provided with the first room temperature detector 602 transmits to the toilet seat body 200 a flat battery signal including the fact that the battery is flat and ambient temperature by a first transmitter 603 when the battery is flat in the case in which a flat battery state that the built-in battery 601 is below prescribed voltage is detected. A control unit 90 uses the ambient temperature when the battery is flat included in the flat battery signal as ambient temperature for controlling an amount of current application to a toilet seat heater 450 when the flat battery signal is received.
